I had my final knee injection and I am pleased to say it was a success and I am virtually pain free in that knee and it is moving smoothly for the most part. I still have some pain in and around the injection site but that is to be expected since heavy gauge needles have been inserted there in the same spot three weeks in a row.
I still have a problems with my knee cap slipping out of it’s natural groove and it slips sideways over the end of my calf bone. To say that hurts is an under statement it feels like what I imagine having a large knife shoved under my knee cap and then twisted would feel like. It is a very sharp stabbing pain that when it happens locks my knee for several seconds. I never know when it is going to happen so it always startles me and has nearly caused me to fall a couple times.
Now that all the knee injections are done in that knee and it is overall working better I can now start researching exercises to strengthen the muscles that wrap around the knee from the thigh so that this knee cap slipping will stop happening. The problem is finding something I can do that won’t effect my lower lumbar because the wrong exercise could end me up in a lot of pain.
I will come back and let you all know what I found out and if I was able to find an exercise that works.
